William A. "Bud" Eva, Jr., 84 of Westlake, OH, passed away, Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at St. John Medical Center following complications on heart disease. Mr. Eva was born April 20, 1929 in Boston, MA. He was a graduate of Tufts University, Medford, MA and served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corp, during the Korean War from November 1951 to November 1955. He was a 43 year employee of US Steel working as a metallurgist. Bud was a 46 year member of the Hermit Club dedicated to the performing arts.
Bud is survived by his wife of 59 years, Edith (nee Gushee) and his children Stephen A. Eva (Marilyn Hatton) of Chagrin Falls, OH; Priscilla Eva of Lakewood, OH and W. Allan Eva, III (Janice McKeon) of Cleveland Heights, OH as well as 8 grand children and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Barbara O'Brien of Sarasota, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents William Allan and Ada Simmons (nee Hodges) Eva and sister Helen Arcana.
Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon, OH from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm Sunday, July 21. The funeral service will be Monday at the funeral home at 7:00pm. The interment will be at the Vine Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, which will include full military honors.
