Mary Joan Offutt (nee Beatty), age 82 of Seven Hills, beloved wife of the late Ralph “Paul”; loving mother of Amy Beth Schindler (Max M.) and Carolyn Offutt Morway (Robert L.); dear grandmother of Caitlin E., Meredith H. and Claire G. Schindler and Paul R. (Katie) and Genoveffa (Effie) Morway; sister of Ruth Lugibihl, Doris Pearson and the late Helen Shaner. Mary Joan was a loving and supportive mother and grandmother. She taught English at Parma High School for over 20 years writing curriculum for the first courses offered in African-American literature and a " Bible as Literature " course. She had a true love for all literature. Mary Jo played piano and organ at many local churches and funeral homes and was a skilled accompanist. She and her husband "Paul" were long time active members of Parma-South Presbyterian Church. Mary Jo passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2010. Memorials may be forwarded to Parma South Presbyterian Church c/o Parish Nurse Program, 6155 Pearl Road, Parma Heights, OH 44130. Funeral Service at Parma South Presbyterian Church on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 10AM. Private Interment at Plain Grove Cemetery, Plain Grove, PA.
