Mary Elizabeth Devis, 94, Westlake, long time Rocky River resident passed away October 10, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late C.E. Joe Devis. Dearest mother of James (Kathy) of Ormond Beach, FL. and Jerry of Westlake. Dear grandmother to Brandon (Shannon), Megan Elizabeth (Adam) and Jaime (Joe). Dearest great grandmother to Blake and Madalyn Elizabeth. Special friend of Dave Clements. She was preceded in death by her father Harvey Skelley and mother Elva Skelley of Canton, Ohio. Mary passed away at West Bay Care and Rehab Center in Westlake. The family appreciates West Bay's kindness and friendship by its staff.

During her long career she was administrative assistant for the Beachwood City Schools and served as Vice President of the Beachwood School Employees Credit Union. After retirement, Mary volunteered at Fairview Hospital and the Rocky River and Westlake Senior Centers. She was a member of the Rocky River Welcome Wagon. Mary was a dear friend, mentor and companion to others with visual impairments.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cleveland Sight Center, 1909 E. 101st St., Cleveland, Ohio 44106-8696. A private graveside service will be held at Lakewood Park Cemetery in Rocky River with Reverend Wayne Arnason of West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church officiating.
