Margaret L. "Peggy" Amsden (nee Coleman), 84 of Avon Lake and formerly of East Liverpool passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012 at her home. She was born June 2, 1928 in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late Clair and Margaret Coleman (nee Davis) and was a 1945 graduate of East Liverpool High School. Peggy was employed as an Administrative Assistant for the Athletic Department for Avon Lake City Schools from 1974 until her retirement in 1996. She was a member of the Avon Lake Presbyterian Church where taught Sunday school. Peggy was described by her family as an absolute wizard with children of all ages and she adored them all. She also enjoyed flower gardening.

Mrs. Amsden is survived by her sons Scott of Sheffield Lake, Mark (Lynne) and Matt (Jody) both of Avon Lake; grandchildren Lance, Cassandra, Brian, Jenna, Christina, Angela and Jessica; great grandchildren Todd, Scott, Iyende, Isabella, Nathan, Joseph, Emory, Olivia, Madeline, Caidence and Noah; siblings David Coleman (Merry) of Essex, CT; Janet O'Hanlon (late Len), Donna Cain (late Don), and Linda Hall (late Don) all of East Liverpool; and Gary Coleman (Dale) of Orlando, FL. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond (2003) and her brother Bobby Coleman.

Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Rd. Avon Lake, from 2-4 & 7-9pm Friday. All Services at the Avon Lake Presbyterian Church, 32340 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake, Saturday, September 15 at 11:00am. Pastor Charlie Swartz will officiate. Burial will follow at Elmhurst Park Cemetery, Avon. Memorials may be forwarded to the American Diabetes Association of Northeast Ohio, 4500 Rockside Road, Suite 440, Independence, OH 44131.
