Dorothy D. Gangwisch (nee Davis), 90, of Elyria, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 5, 2012. She was born May 2, 1922 in Pittsburgh, PA.

Dorothy was employed as a secretary. She was a member of Harvest Christian Church, Hudson United Methodist Church in Florida, PEO in Florida, and Harmony Chimes at Wesleyan Village. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, played bells and chimes, loved to read, and was involved with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Gangwisch is survived by her daughters Betty Arthur (James) of Pittsburgh, PA and Judy Wacker (Ed) of Elyria; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brother Byron Davis (Lois) of Hudson, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Louis Gangwisch (2010); parents George R. and Cornelia (nee Probst) Davis; brother Robert Davis and sister Grace Maier.

Friends may call 2-5pm Saturday, September 8 at Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second Street, Elyria. A Memorial Service will be 11am Monday at Wesleyan Village Cascade Room. Rev. Beth McKee and Rev. Jim Mazey will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
