William R. Ryan, "Wild Bill" age 94 of Cleveland. Beloved husband of the late LaVerne E. (nee Lenc) for 65 years; loving father of Dale (Dyanah), Bruce (Karen) and Scott (Lisa); cherished grandfather of Kim Ryan, Katie Gillisse (Ken) and Kristy Thorp (Cameron) ; great grandpa to Kenny, Klaire and Emily; brother of Marge Gemeiner and Richard Ryan (both deceased). Bill loved doing activities with his wife and family including, boating, camping, traveling and watching his sons and granddaughters in all sporting activities. He was a member of John W. Barkley Masonic Lodge #621 for 55 years, member of Al Sirat Grotto for 50 years and a member of Parma Elks Lodge for 32 years. Bill proudly served as a sergeant during WWII in the 82nd Air Engineer Squadron, 6th Air Service Group as a crew chief. Honorably discharged on January 5, 1947 he received the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal and the Philippine Independence Ribbon. Bill passed away Saturday March 18, 2017 in Boulder City, NV with his son and daughter in law Dale and Dyanah. Morning prayers will be at 9am Tuesday March 28, 2017 at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 7501 RIDGE ROAD, PARMA and funeral service will follow at 10am Tuesday at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 125 E. Ridgewood Dr., Seven Hills. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 4-8pm at the funeral home, where there will be a Masonic and Grotto service held at 7pm.
