Beloved Father, Loving Grandfather, Dear Brother and Brother-In-Law, and Cherished Uncle, Cousin and Friend


Vincent "Jim" D'Agostino, age 81, of North Royalton, Ohio, and formerly of Maple Heights, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at University Hospitals Parma Medical Center from complications of the corona virus. Jim was born on December 20, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio to Catherine (nee Oppedisano) and Carmello D'Agostino. He was a 1957 graduate of John Adams High School in Cleveland and served in the U.S. Army from August 1963 to August 1965. In August 1963 Jim married Virginia Rose Audino at Holy Name Parish in Cleveland and together they enjoyed more than 49 years of marriage. He worked for more than 30 years as an Electronics Technician for the Gould Corp. in Cleveland, manufacturing devices such as heart monitors and seismographic instruments. Jim also had a love for community service and for politics. He served as a Maple Heights City Councilman and on the City of North Royalton's Planning Commission. A longtime, faithful Catholic, Jim was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and of St. Albert The Great and St. Martin of Tours Parishes. He loved following politics, the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians, and enjoyed classic cars and playing the accordion. Jim is survived by his three sons: Daniel D'Agostino (Deborah) of Twinsburg, Ohio, Charles D'Agostino, M.D. (Christine) of Howard, Ohio, and Frank D'Agostino of North Royalton, Ohio; his grandchildren: Bryan D'Agostino (Erica), Amanda D'Agostino, Giovanni D'Agostino, Via D'Agostino, and Starlena D'Agostino; his siblings: Elizabeth Lamatrice (Joseph, deceased) of Garfield Heights, Ohio, and Carmello D'Agostino (Sue) of Avon, Ohio; his sister-in-law Theresa Ali (Ben); and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife Virginia in December 2012; his father Carmello in June 1988; his mother Catherine in November 2012; and his sister Rosemary Webb in December 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Albert The Great Church, 6667 Wallings Road, North Royalton, with the family requesting the funeral mass be viewed from one's home via the live webcasting link to be provided by the family. Interment with U.S. Army honors will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Northfield, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be forwarded to the Knights of Columbus at, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at, or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children at
