Raymond worked as a truck driver with the May Company (which would become Kaufmann's) for 44 years. During his time as a truck driver he also worked maintenance for Sunset Lake Campground in Spencer. He also contributed his time to the Volunteer Services for Diabetics, performing various duties including organizing Bingo at Breezewood Hall. He also ran Bingo at St. Mark's Church, Sheffield Village. He was an avid bowler, participating in leagues at Carousel Lanes, Cleveland; North Coast Shoreway Lanes, Sheffield Lake, and Rebman Recreation, Lorain. He also loved fishing, playing Bingo and 500 Rummy.
