Loving Husband, Friend and Veteran

Ralph William Witherspoon 75, Born 6 January, 1942. He was the only child of James and Rachel who adopted him shortly after birth from Pittsburgh, PA.
An active inquisitive child who made his parents proud by his accomplishments, wit and intellect. Ralph was raised in Wadsworth, Ohio and there met his best friend Dennis Easterday (70 years ago). They have been BFF since then.
During the High school years Ralph went off to Massenuttten Military Academy then onto the United States Army. He served in Japan with the Army Security Agency returning to go to Hillsdale College getting his further education.
Lacey (Burton) Witherspoon was the love of his life. They met at a restaurant adjacent to a bowling alley. Ralph saw her at the bowling alley and was taken aback. So taken that he followed her to the restaurant and introduced himself to her, was thoroughly grilled and the rest is history. He worshiped the ground she walked on. Ralph ran Witherspoon Security and investigative Services. He did investigations and expert witness work for many clients in many locations. He continued to get more education in his field and became the experts expert. Teaching at local colleges and universities and holding office in the Security and investigative Services Association was the highlight of his career.
Ralph was an avid reader devouring as many as two large American history volumes in a single weekend.
Ralph had many friends and acquaintances that are saddened by his passing. There will not be any immediate services. Nice weather will bring the time when Ralph will be interred at the "Rittman National Military Cemetery". He was proceeded in death by his wife Lacey J.(Burton) Witherspoon and both sets of parents. Lacey passed in April of 2014, and Ralph's world went into a nose dive. The last three and a half years have been loaded with many issues. There were no siblings. Only one cousin, Dr. Stanley L. Painter, Jr. of Maine who survives.
Military Honors will be provided at the time of interment at the Rittman National Military Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.

Services Pending. Please check back for further information.
