Marla was a very special lady who touched the lives of everyone who was ever lucky enough to have met her. She was the most caring and sweetest individual the world was blessed to have apart of for a short 62 years. She was a fighter; with the passing of her husband January 22, 2012, though she was broken she continued to fight through every day and make it the absolute best for herself and her daughter. Marla gave all she could to her family and made sure everyone knew how truly loved they were by her. She was her daughter's best friend and number one cheerleader through her years of sports, relationships and education; nothing was more special than the bond created during these times. It was a difficult thing to watch when June 2017 came and quickly showed Marla how her strengths and faith would be further tested. Cancer is more than a word, when it is voiced it just destroys the soul, it stops people in their tracks; but Marla knew this was a battle she wanted to fight. Through months of radiation and immunotherapy, Mar did all she could to keep her spirits high even though there were times when it was just too much. Months passed by and she was able to enjoy visiting Myrtle Beach one last time and at the end of the year she spent her final Christmas with her daughter by her side. It is never easy knowing that goodbye was around the corner, but everyday she did her best to tell everyone she loved them and how proud she was of her time with them. Though she is no longer apart of this earthly world, we all know she is watching over all of us with her parents and husband by her side. Though this is goodbye for now, we will see you again. i love you to the moon & back
