Loving Mother, Grandmother and Friend

Obituary

Lois M. Johnson, age 88, passed away peacefully at Cleveland Clinic, Avon Campus on Friday, February 28, 2020. Lois was born July 21, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Alvin and Mary (nee Blackwell) France.
Lois was a family-oriented woman who is remembered as caring and putting others first in her life. Her family was her first priority, and she loved being a grandma and G.G. to her great-grandchildren. Lois was very organized and detailed, which served her well during her career in banking. She worked 4 years at Broadway Saving and Loan in Bay Village before moving to First Federal of Lakewood. There she started her career as a teller, and worked her way to Loan Service Manager, excelling in each position along the way. She retired from First Federal of Lakewood after serving there for 22 years.
Lois was a woman of deep faith and had a heart for serving others. She participated in many church activities through the years but was especially proud of her work with Stephen Ministries. She also had volunteered at a local hospital and in the office at her apartment building. As an avid reader, she enjoyed her book club and Bible studies, especially with her friends and neighbors at the Knickerbocker Apartments.
Left to cherish Lois' memory are her beloved children, Rebecca Lynn Stamper (Danny) and Dayne Alvin Johnson (Angela); cherished grandchildren, Christopher Brunelle, Alyssa Johnson, Bethany Brunelle Ellis (James), Matthew Johnson, Alex Johnson, Graham Stamper and Brady Stamper; dear great grandchildren, Layla, Jimmy, Jenna and Logan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 27 years, Ronald D. Johnson; and sisters, Grace Murillo and Flo Ann Vincent.
