Obituary

Keith Paul Beastrom, 91, of Conneaut, passed away peacefully in Lakewood, after a year long battle with Lung Cancer and is now Walking with the Lord. Keith was the oldest son born to Harry and Anna (Schanlaber) Beastrom and was raised on a farm in Hazelton, North Dakota. Keith told many stories of farm life in those days and being put to work on the tractor by the age of 10.

Keith moved to Cleveland, OH for work, where he met and married Rowena (Row) Parris at St. John's Cathedral on November 15, 1950.

After having enlisted in the Marines in ND, Keith was called to Duty in Cleveland 1950. Keith served as a U.S. Marine Corps Tank Commander in the Korean War and was discharged in 1953.

The Beastrom family resided on Liberty Street, Conneaut, OH. Keith was active volunteering with Fr. Stevenson at St. Mary's Church, and the Knights of Columbus. In 1971, the family moved to a 90-acre farm in Monroe Township, where Keith was able to remodel the Farmhouse and raise a few cows and chickens. On this farm he taught his children and grandchildren to ride ponies, horses and even a snowmobile!

After working for the Railroad and Salt Mines Keith settled at Reliance Electric where he retired after 30 years in Diecast and Welding Departments.

Keith enjoyed many things in life with the most important thing being his family.

Some of his fondest memories were camping at Pymatuning State Park, Beastrom family reunions, sightseeing trips around the Great Lakes, and traveling around the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii! During his years one of Keith's proudest accomplishments was hiking up several mountains out West (in CO, WA, and CA). He enjoyed traveling with his partner and companion of the last 25 years Joyce Ward (2019), of Conneaut, OH.
Keith is survived by his children Christine (Elio) Fontana of Parma Heights, Keith Paul (Sandra) Beastrom of Katy, TX, Lorraine (John) Buser of Mentor, Robert Beastrom of Lakewood, OH, Theresa (Howard) Clack, Lakewood, OH, and daughter in law Donna Beastrom of Wilmington, NC.
