Kayden DeKobe Williams, age 17, of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 27 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Westlake, Ohio on December 7, 2000.
Kayden was a junior at Keystone High School in Lagrange. A standout player on the school's football team, his talent earned him a spot on the First Team All-Conference and First Team All-County. He led all of Lorain County in number of tackles made this past season with 124. He loved fishing, and any adventure that lead him outdoors. An all-around handyman, Kayden enjoyed fixing things, and working on cars and other appliances. He was a fitness enthusiast who enjoyed working out. He also loved spending time with his friends and playing video games.
Kayden will always be remembered for his selfless manner. He was always willing to help others, kind and caring, reliable, and committed to his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Keenan and Sarah (nee Meosky) Williams; sisters Dominique James, Alanna Williams, Keearah Williams, and Kerrigan Williams ; brother Keenan, Jr.; nephew Justin Green, Jr.; maternal grandparents Ed and Elaine Meosky; aunt Jodie Johnson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Joseph and Linda Williams; and uncle Delmos Williams.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 30 at the First Baptist Church of Elyria, 11400 Lagrange Rd., Elyria from 12 – 2 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held immediately following visitation at 2:00 pm.
