Jeanne M Brooks, age 91, passed away peacefully at her home at Main Street Care Center on Saturday, February 29, 2020. Jeanne was born October 13, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Andrew and Lillian (nee Billings) Hill.

Jeanne Brooks life was full of color and adventure, and it began the night she and her twin brother Jack were born. At City Hospital in Cleveland a bad storm had caused a blackout, and the twins were delivered by candlelight. Jeanne was raised in Cleveland along with her six siblings. She went on to have six of her own children that she raised in Cleveland also.

Jeanne enjoyed celebrating all holidays, but especially St. Patrick's Day and Halloween. Never one to sit on the sidelines, she enjoyed donning costumes well into her adulthood. Always cheerful and in good spirits, Jeanne was often the life of the party. She loved to dance and had a wonderful sense of humor. She remained active her entire life, continuing to enjoy card games, weekly dice games, and monthly lunches out. Jeanne was a member of the Red Hats, with her group calling themselves the "Red Hot Mama's!" She loved to travel, including trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City, and especially loved to cruises, taking eleven cruises to various destinations.

Jeanne was a hard-working woman, who retired from Voss Industries in March 1996. She was ready to have fun, full time, being just 67 years young. Jeanne loved spending time with her family, which continued to grow and grow, until she became a great great grandma five times. Her family will miss her spunk and her determination, but mostly they will miss her smile and love.

Left to cherish Jeanne's memory are her beloved children, Pat Taskey, Sandy MacIntyre (Marty), Mickey Brooks (Donna), Bruce Brooks (Debbie) and Bev Potash; cherished grandchildren, Tracy, Cindy, Bobby, Renee, D.J., Sarina, Mike, Misty, Amanda, Jennifer and Brittany; 18 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren; her sister Lillian Mattis and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Brian B. Brooks; parents Andrew and Lillian (nee Billings) Hill; husband James Brooks and five siblings.
