Obituary for James Jim Soeder

March 26, 1967 - July 25, 2020
North Royalton, Ohio | Age 53

Obituary

James "Jim" H. Soeder, 53; Proud father of Keith Soeder; Dear brother of Vickie (Mike) Toth, John Soeder, Scot (Tanya) Soeder, and Michelle Belluardo; Cherished son of John and the late Mary Lou; Beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews; Former spouse of Michele Soeder. Passed away July 25, 2020.

Jim had many facets to his life that made him the lovable, kind man that he was. Growing up, he tinkered on cars, eventually growing his love of classic cars to the point of owning a 1976 Oldsmobile 98. Jim was a huge music buff as well. He listened to wide range of music, from classic rock to indie, and enjoyed everything in between. He liked to support local bands, too. He and Keith would be front and center at many concerts for one of his favorites, The Vindys. Above all, Jim loved his family and was dedicated to them. He will be missed greatly.

"I never though I'd say this for a long long time, but I lost my father today. This is the worst thing that has ever happened to me, but I'm trying to stay positive. He was a fighter. His job was grueling, yet he managed to get it done every day, despite having trouble breathing through it all. He was funny. One of the funniest people I knew. He never failed to put a smile on my face and give me a good laugh. He always had a new song or band to show me, and my vast music taste is mostly because of him. I always gave him a hard time with certain things but he knew no matter what that I loved him with all my heart. He guided me through all of life's rough patches and taught me so much, and I hope to one day be as amazing as he was. Dedicated, caring, helpful, handy, strong, fun, loving... These don't even begin to describe how great he was. I am so insanely proud to have called him Dad. He fought till the very end and he was the best father I could've ever asked for. Dad, your struggle is over, and you don't have to deal with 2020's foulness any longer. I will never ever ever forget you. Thank you for everything. I love and miss you so much. R.I.P. <3">
