Obituary for James C. Deubel

James C. Deubel, 59 of Elyria and a former resident of Maple Heights, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020. He was born August 15, 1961.
James was a graduate of Maple Heights High School where he was a Maple Heights wrestling champion. He helped his sons, Joey and Ryan to be champions also. He enjoyed all sports, especially football and baseball. Jimmy was an avid collector and seller of baseball cards. He had a genuine personality, no nonsense, stood up for others when he felt they were being treated unjustly and defended those he loved.
Mr. Deubel is survived by his son, Ryan Masie; step-children, Joey, Jeff, Jason, and April Pflug; Sean, Elexis, Gina, Samantha, and Hunter Hamby; grandchildren, Sean Jr. and Alayah; mother, Anne Deubel; siblings, Edward (Linda), Rick (Liz), Sandra (Allen), and Ron; fiancé, Karry Hamby.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Deubel.
