Obituary

James R. Bizjak, 75 of North Ridgeville, OH peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family after a brave battle with leukemia on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. He was born June 30, 1945 to parents Peter and Margaret (nee Basa) Bizjak in Cleveland, OH.

Jim graduated from Newbury High School in Newbury, OH. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and proudly served his country in Vietnam as a member of the Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 323 Death Rattlers as a parachute rigger. After his time in the service, Jim worked as a salesman for over 40 years in the paper product and chemical industries. He never met a stranger and could (and would!) talk to anyone. Upon retirement, Jim kept busy by taking on many different part time jobs, but most enjoyed working at the Browns, Cavs and Indians games. He enjoyed playing softball, having a beer with his friends and family, and was known as "Mr. Fix-It" to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Throughout his fight against cancer, he became a master of assembling all types of Jigsaw and wooden puzzles and Lego kits. He was well known for his spontaneous sense of humor and ability to make people laugh, but the things he loved most were his Faith and his Family. Jim's motto was "Never Give Up, Never Give In."

He is survived by his beloved wife Cindy (nee Blaha) of 52 years; loving children of Renee Allemeier (Jason), Eric (Kyle) and Scott (Ellen); cherished grandchildren Amanda, Casey, Logan, Nathan, Brady, Cameron, Elliot and Peyton; dear siblings Peter Bizjak (Shirley), Margaret Gantous, Marilyn Bottger (Jim), Mark Bizjak and Gary Bizjak (Kathy), and brother in-law and sister in-laws Carol Frac (Ed) and Marianne Grandel, many loved nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Penny.
