Obituary for Jack J. Hewit

Jack J. Hewit, 73 and a resident of North Ridgeville since 2004, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family following a short illness. He is a former resident of Sheffield Lake. Jack was born June 6, 1947 in Berea, Ohio.
Jack was a graduate of North Olmsted High School. He was a United States Army veteran, serving his country from 1966-68 in Alaska. He was employed at the General Motors Plant in Parma for 42 years as a Technician. He was a member of the UAW Local 1005 in Parma and loved fishing and camping as a youth.
Mr. Hewit is survived by his sons, John J. Hewit (Gaybrielle) of Kingsley, Michigan and Jeff Hewit of Vermilion; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Kathy Entis of Columbus, Ohio, and dear companion, Kathy Hall.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Hewit (nee Lenz) and parents, Raymond and Doris Hewit (nee Johns).
