Harry Pfingsten, 85 of Avon Lake, OH peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 25, 2021. He was born September 1, 1935 to parents Joseph and Edna (nee Peterson) Pfingsten in Cleveland, OH.

Harry graduated from Miami University with a degree in Music Education and a master's degree from Case Western Reserve. He taught instrumental music for 35 years with his last 26 years at Avon Lake High School. After retirement, he directed the Patriots Symphonic Band for 20 years. Harry made such a difference in all the lives he touched. He loved making music, especially during the holidays. He was also fortunate to direct at the Severance Hall and Blossom.

He is survived by his beloved wife Hetty (nee Zabowski) of 51 years; loving doggies Herbie and Hailey; dear siblings Earle, Ralph (deceased) (Joan) and Joanne (Dick) Germuska; best friend Phil Conaway and care manager Michelle Scholl.

Friends may call for a visitation with facial coverings and social distancing on Sunday, March 28th from 3pm – 8pm at Busch Funeral Home 163 Avon Belden Rd., Avon Lake, OH 44012. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 29, 2021 at 10am at St. Joseph Church 32946 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake, OH 44012. Entombment to follow at Holy Trinity, Avon, OH. 440.933.3202
