Beloved husband of 54 years to Phyllis (nee Baker) Clapp; loving father of Lauri Scott (Jeffrey) and Jerry Clapp; cherished grandfather of Kylie and Evan Scott; dear brother of Alan D. Clapp (Gayle). Gerald passed away November 29, 2018. Born in Cleveland, Jerry was a graduate of Rhodes High School. He served as the Aquatic Director at the Ridgewood YMCA, was active in Indian Guides, and was a founding member of the Trailblazers. He enjoyed 25 years on the Boston Mills Ski Patrol. He belonged to both the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Society of American Magicians. In recent years, he enjoyed playing golf with his friends at The Turn. Throughout his life, Jerry was an avid swimmer, diver, skier, racquetball player, golfer, magician, and balloon artist, but most of all, he enjoyed making people happy.
