On Saturday, June 27, 2020, George Andrew Csiky peacefully passed at age 89. George was born on February 22, 1931 in Budapest, Hungary to Judith Both and Janos Istvan Csiky. In 1945, the Csiky family immigrated to Brazil to escape the Russian invasion of Eastern Europe. Five years later, George went on to attend the prestigious Dartmouth College in the United States graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics in the year 1954. In 1955 he met his beloved wife of 63 years, Kathleen Csiky (nee. Csiba) and had a son, Peter Stephen, in 1958. George had a profound passion for acquiring knowledge and sharing it with others. He loved writing stories and poems for himself and his family as well as sharing his incredible knowledge of science and love of religion through articles that were later published in the Religion and Science magazine. In 1959, George, Kathleen, and their young son Peter immigrated from Sao Paulo, Brazil to Atlanta, Georgia where George became a professor at a local university. After living in Atlanta for some time, George and his family moved to Cleveland where George worked for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). While in Cleveland, George also acquired his Master of Science degree from John Carroll University in 1970. Some years later the family again moved this time to New Jersey where George and Kathleen stayed for many years to come watching their family continue to grow. George was a loving and caring father to his son Peter and later grandfather to his granddaughter Anna.

George was preceded in death by his father Janos Istvan Csiky, his mother Judith Both Csiky, his brother Jean de Csiky, and his son Peter Stephen Csiky. He is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen Csiky, granddaughter Anna Csiky, daughter-in-law Rita Csiky, his sister Judith Csiky, his sister-in-laws Esther Csiba and Maria Csiky, his brother-in-law Zoltan Csiba, as well as his nephews, Stephen, Andrew, and Gergely, his nieces Eva and Csilla, cousin Veronka, and many other close relatives and friends in Atlanta, Cleveland, and Brazil.
