Elizabeth Jean Williams (nee Hixon) 84 of Sheffield Village for 47 years, formerly of Sheffield Lake, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 22, 1932.
Elizabeth was a 1950 graduate of Adena High School. She married her loving husband, William, December 24, 1951. They were married 65 wonderful years. Elizabeth worked as a supervisor at the Lorain Telephone Company and later moved on to work at Sears in Elyria in the catalog department and also as a bus driver and cafeteria worker for the Elyria school district. She had a passion for knitting and was a faithful Cleveland Browns fan.
She is survived by her devoted husband William Walter; her adoring children Sherry Fleming (Ted) of Bryan, OH, Sandy Skeen (Phil) of Lakewood, OH, William Walter Williams Jr (Leslie) of Centerburg, OH and Shelly Berry (Jim) of Amherst, OH; her dear grandchildren Colt, Chelsea, Michael, Thomas, Taylor, Abbey, Katey, and James; her loving siblings June Hanigan (Don) of Rocky River, OH, Anna Mary Perko (Bill) of Homosassa, FL and Jane Maxwell (Colin) of Lakewood, OH.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents Isaac and Florence (nee Grosz) Hixon; three brothers Floyd Hixon, Howard Hixon, and James Hixon; and an infant sister Patty.
