Obituary for Edward "Ted" Snider

Edward "Ted" Snider, 92, passed away March 14, 2020 in Westlake, OH. Ted was born in 1927, in Grand Rapids, MI. Starting in 1946, he served as a Sgt. in the US Army 1st Cavalry Division, 7th Cavalry Regiment in occupied Japan. Ted later graduated from Michigan State University. He and his wife of 65 years lived in Fairview Park and later, in Westlake. He was best known for his jokes and stories. Ted's favorite "occupation" during his retirement years was as a volunteer for NASA and a "Grandpa Volunteer" for the Lakewood School's Growing Healthy Program. Ted leaves behind his loving wife, Janet; sons John (Barbara), Stephen (Suzanne), daughter Beth (the late Alfred); 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be forwarded to Westlake Porter Library, 27333 Center Ridge Rd. Westlake, OH 44145, or a charity of your choice. Private Inurnment Services will be held at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Avon.
