Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister and Aunt


Edna Kathleen Yuras (nee Yensen), 72, of Parma, died on Friday, February 2. She is survived by her children; Michael John (Lance Engelbrecht) Yuras, James "Scott" (Diana) Yuras, Sherri (David Mellinger) Elwell and Kirk (Meridith Johnson) Yuras; grandchildren; Adryan Yuras, Justin Barrows, Jessica (Phernell III) Walker, Kimberly Yuras, Darren Barrows, Gwendollyn Johnson, and Orion Yuras, and great-grandson Phernell Walker IV, "Judah"; she also leaves behind her brother Walter "Wally" Yensen and her sister Crystal "Cryssy" Summerlin. Preceding Edna in death are her brothers Chester "Chet" Yensen, Wesley "Butch" Yensen, Kenneth "Kenny" Yensen and sister Mary Deisz. She was a loving aunt to many.
Edna was born in Akron, Ohio on December 31, 1945 to the late Chester and Edna (nee Means) Yensen and was a graduate of East High School in 1963. Edna was a faithful member of the New Apostolic Church where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and participated in many tasks and activities. She worked in accounting for most of her working years. Family was one of the most important things in her life; she was an amazing, giving and loving mother to her four children. Edna was also a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt and really enjoyed spending quality time with them all. Friends may call at the New Apostolic Church, 7820 Ridge Rd, Parma, Ohio Thursday, February 8 from 5pm- 6:45 pm. A memorial service will follow at the church at 7pm.
