Obituary for Debra "Debbie" Anderson

August 24, 1959 - September 5, 2019
Parma, Ohio | Age 60

Cherished Wife, Daughter, Sister, and Aunt

DEBRA "DEBBIE" A. ANDERSON (nee Robbins), age 60 of Parma. Beloved wife of the late Mark D. "Drew" Anderson. Cherished daughter of the late Harold and Lou Robbins; loving sister of Mike Robbins (Cathy) and Dale Robbins (Kathy); dear aunt of Danielle (Kyle), Brianna (Christopher), Camille (Louis), and Mike; daughter-in-law of James (deceased) and Mary Anderson (nee Strobel); great-aunt of Gwen, Maggie, Theo and Evie; cherished and loved by her canine companion Abby Grace. Debbie fought a courageous battle against a very angry cancer which transformed into an unidentifiable disease that didn't care what was thrown at it. Her medical team, headed by Dr. Resnick, worked diligently over 14 months through every twist and turn without a complaint from Debbie until the shoulder pain affected everything she did. She passed peacefully in the early morning hours on September 5th, 2019, almost 2 weeks after her 60th birthday with her 2 brothers and a dear childhood friend at her side. It IS TRUE "The Good Die Young". Debbie's legacy is easy to state and undeniable- She loved life and made and kept TRUE friends wherever she went. She had more Groups of friends than most people have friends which included her Mother's groups. It has been said by numerous people that "Debbie was her Mother's daughter". A testament to this legacy is this- Michelle, the representative for Hospice of The Western Reserve, met Debbie when the family was making plans to get Debbie home for her final days. Although the quick progression of her cancer prevented Debbie from making the trip, Michelle stated that she was so touched by Debbie and the stories shared that she felt like a friend. To anyone who knew Debbie, they are not surprised when they hear that She was making new friends right up to her final hours. One can only imagine the number of friends she is making in Heaven. We all will miss and love you Debbie and will have been much better for having known you. Passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019.
