Obituary for Debra Bialko

January 14, 1957 - May 8, 2017
Sheffield Village, Ohio | Age 60

Loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother

Debbie Bialko grew up in Sheffield Village across the street from her future husband Jerry. Debbie and Jerry met at the age of 3 and were lifelong friends.
Debbie graduated from Brookside High School where she was active in numerous extracurricular activities. Later, she was accepted into an executive program at Baldwin Wallace College where she earned a Bachelor's and Masters degree in Business Administration.
Debbie and Jerry were married in September, '76 and enjoyed several cross country road trips to Seattle, Oregon, and many parts of Canada before starting a family. Debbie built several homes for her four sons and enjoyed gardening, knitting, camping, reading, and Bible study. She was a proud fan of her sons' athletic endeavors and devoted much time to attending marching band competitions, football games, wrestling matches, track meets, and soccer games.
Debbie was a music enthusiast who played the saxophone, piano, and guitar. She instilled her love for music in her children and regularly organized successful fundraising efforts and legendary social events for the Sheffield/Sheffield Lake band program. Her efforts raised 10s of thousands of dollars and facilitated the acquisition of new musical instruments for the school system, as well as overseas travel for its students.
Debbie's marriage of 40+ years served as an inspiration for family and friends; she and Jerry diligently planned a weekly date night on Thursdays, and she organized regular visits to her sons' homes in Texas, California, Hawaii, Virginia, Alabama, Washington D.C., and here in Ohio.
Debbie was well known for her unwavering hospitality and never missed an opportunity to meticulously plan gatherings and outings for her family, friends, and neighbors. Debbie was very proud of circling the globe during her work career as an auditor for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. As an adventurer, Debbie went sky diving on mother's day with her children, and recently visited countless national landmarks, and toured the Grand Canyon in a helicopter.
Debbie will be remembered as a caring Grandmother who shared her love of knitting, tea parties, and ice cream with her grandchildren.
Debbie will also be remembered as a loving mother who impacted all those around her; she was a courageous woman who lived life with 'No Regrets'.
