Obituary for Mr. David James Lombardo

November 12, 1948 - March 23, 2021
Olmsted Falls, Ohio | Age 72

Loving Husband, Devoted Dad, Proud Grandpa, Cherished Brother and Brother-In-Law, and Dear Friend of Many

What do you say about a man who did so much for so many? David James Lombardo departed this earth on Monday, March 23, 2021 surrounded by love and light. For a man of few words, he made you feel present, cherished, and valued.

Dave is best known as a proud Grandpa to Ryan, Allison, Collin, Gianna, and Alexandra. A loving dad to Stephanie Perlatti (Michael) and Jeremy Lombardo (Heather), and a generous uncle to many. He is a big brother to Gary Lombardo (Bonnie), Debbie Kall (Bill), and Diane Lombardo; and was preceded in death by brothers Mike Lombardo and Mark Lombardo, and by his parents James and Lucy (nee Caruso) Lombardo. His most important role was being a loving husband to his surviving wife Patricia Lombardo (nee White) for almost 52 years.

Dave is a friend, an off-road enthusiast, a hobbyist, funny, sometimes wonderfully grumpy and the best. He was completely devoted to his family, a gift nobody could teach and that will be his legacy. He was also of service as a Sergeant in the United States Army 4th Armored Division, Company B 1st Battalion, 54th Infantry Regiment.

Dave was comfortable being himself, was never late and kept his family first. We will love you and miss you dearly, until we meet again.

Although flowers are appreciated, Dave and his family request that memorial contributions in his name be forwarded to Welcome House, Inc., 802 Sharon Drive Suite A, Westlake, Ohio 44145 or please visit

The family will receive friends at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 7501 Ridge Road, Parma, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm on Sunday, March 28, 2021 where funeral services will be held at 6:00pm with Rev. David Ivy, Associate Pastor of Polaris Christian Church in Brunswick, officiating.

Dave's cremated remains will be placed to rest, with U.S. Army honors, at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on a date and time to be announced.
