Obituary

Bryce Thomas Brown, 86, of Westlake, passed away peacefully in his home, on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. Bryce was born in Lakewood, Ohio, on October 26th, 1932.

Bryce served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After his service, Bryce graduated from John Caroll University with a degree in Sociology. Bryce worked for both the Erie Lakawanna Railroad and retired the Illuminating Company.

Bryce married the love of his life, Audrey Ellen (Dowling) Brown on September 11, 1954. Together they raised seven children; five boys and two girls. Bryce enjoyed reading, discussing politics, collecting military memorabilia and building things. He spent many happy hours in his garage machine shop. Bryce even built 3 sailboats, one of which has never left the backyard.

Bryce is survived by his children, Bryce J. (Krista) of Wellington, Audrey C. Gallo (Dale) of North Royalton, Michael D. of Berea, Thomas M. of St. Joseph, Missouri, Timothy J. (Debra) of Avon Lake, Nancy A. Pfeil of Strongsville and Christopher P. (Kristi) of Olmsted Falls; loving grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey E. (Dowling) Brown, his parents, Agnes (Bonteski) and Bryce J. Brown, his brother, James Brown and grandchildren Audrey Gallo, Timmy Brown, Stacey Brown, and Heather (Brown) Johnson.

Visitation from 8:30-9:30 at Busch Funeral Homes, 163 Avon Belden Rd., Avon Lake. Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish, 33601 Detroit Rd., Avon.
