Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Calanni, 49, of Avon, passed away peacefully with his family praying the Lord's Prayer over him, Tuesday September 25, 2018 after a courageous 2 year battle of esophageal cancer. He was born November 28, 1968 in Cincinnati, Ohio and adopted by his loving parents Salvatore "Sam" and Rose (nee Novak) Calanni.
Tony served faithfully in the US Marine Corp for 5 ½ years and served during the first Gulf War. Most recently he worked as an Engineering Manager for Crane Aerospace in Elyria. He was the "Master" of supplemental income. Loved spending time outdoors golfing, boating, and fishing. Tony was always cheering on his Cleveland hometown sports teams. He was a devoted father and attended his children's music and sport events.

Surviving is his wife of 20 years Heather; daughter Ashley Crock; sons Nicolas and Anthony J. Calanni; dear mother Rose; brother Salvatore Calanni Jr.; and sister Gina Marie Fuhrmann.

Family will receive friends Sunday, September 30th from 1:30-5:00 PM at the Fields United Methodist Church 34077 Lorain Rd., North Ridgeville. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 1st at 11:00 am at the Fields United Methodist Church. The service will be officiated by Reverend Tom Joyce.
