Agnes T. Lucien (nee McGuiness) , age 83, a 50 year resident of Avon Lake, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at her home from complications of Parkinson's Disease. Mrs. Lucien was born March 25, 1932 in Cleveland and had lived in Kent before moving to Avon Lake.
Mrs. Lucien was a graduate of Villa Angela High School, Cleveland and attended Kent State University. A devout Christian and member of St. Joseph Church, Avon Lake, she found peace in studying the Bible. She was a passionate and talented artist, played the piano and sketched, sewed and made dolls and wrote poetry and short stories.
Agnes was the beloved wife of Ronald G. Lucien whom she married, June 18, 1955. She was the loving mother of Ted Lucien (Molly) of Cincinnati, Theresa Boyd of Columbus, John Lucien (Diana) of North Olmsted, Maria Lucien of Avon Lake, Anne Young (Tim) of Warsaw, IN, Ron J. of Lakewood, and Joann Cuiffo of Omaha, NE. She was the devoted grandmother of Bobby, Julian, Nicola, Marissa, Billy, Andy, Josh, Joey, Mike, Scott, Courtney, Jay, Timothy, Moriah, Bethany, Suzan, Bryce, Bailey and Alaina and great grandmother of Payton and Brielle. She was the dear sister of Owen McGuiness (Noreen), Eileen Basile, Margaret McGuiness, and Tom McGuiness. She was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Mary (nee Gallagher) McGuiness, sister Mary and brother Jack.

Funeral service at 11 am Wednesday, April 1 at St. Joseph Church, 32929 Lake Road, Avon Lake. Private entombment at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Friends may call at St. Joseph Church from 9-11 am on Wednesday, April 1 prior to the funeral service.
