Condolence & Memory Journal

I'll never forget homemade goodies and playing with cousins during summer cookouts. I love you, I remember you, I miss you - and I'm praying for you.

Just want to offer my sincere sympathy. A mother's love is unmatched, and my heart goes out to Sue and her family at this difficult time of loss. May you blessed with comfort and good memories.

This is a poem we wanted to dedicate to Grandma:

I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took God's hand when I heard the call;
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I found that place at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss.
Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief;
don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me-
God wanted me now, God set me free.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I am sorry that circumstances prevent me from attending and paying my respects. While we didn't see each other often, I have fond memories of my Aunt. For some reason, they seem to center around food! She will be missed.

Until That Day © Author, Chris Belden

Until that day I'll think of you,
the love we shared, the memories too.

Until that day I'll think of you,
I'll try so hard in all I do.

Until that day I'll find out why,
you had to leave with no "goodbye".

Until that day this is so,
your family misses you, more than you'll know.

Until that day You'll be with him,
your God, your Savior, and new best friend.

Until that day I see you there,
you're in my heart, you're everywhere.

Until that day.

Memories of both Grandma and Grandpa...can't think of one without the other...

I remember Grandpa trying to teach me the rules about football...and Sunday dinners at Grandma and Grandpas...and listening to polkas...and watching Rockford Files...and Barney the dog...and having to walk there after school 'cause of no buses...and me and Grandma drinking international coffees...and Fourth of July in the backyard...and cookouts...and Christmas in July...Wow it keeps coming back! I love polkas to this day!

Oh and the homemade wine coolers she made us...non-alcoholic of course ;-)

Helping in the garden...being afraid of going in the basement...remember Grandpa's green chair down there (I liked that). I was also afraid of the upstairs closets (in the hall)...not sure why.

Lunch at Teddy's Restaurant ...the waitress calling me and Diane and Vicky boys because Grandma cut our hair (with clippers, too).

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers Sue. Your mom was a nice person to talk with at family gatherings. I am sure Joe and family were there to give her a hug on the other side. God Bless the caraffi cousins.
