I'm so very sorry to hear this. My deepest sympathies to your family, Lisa. Your husband helped me through difficult times in my life during his time at St. Nicholas and I think of him often and am grateful for his ministry and example.

It was absolutely heart-wrenching to watch this process with Dan, but there was not a day that went by without me checking on him, holding his hand, and telling him that I was rooting for him. I'm so incredibly upset that this happened to one of the most caring people I've met. I am glad that he is finally resting peacefully, but it's still so hard not physically seeing him and being able to go in and hold his hand and talk to him. Can't imagine your pain.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I worked with Dan at Crossroads for five years and this news broke my heart! Dan was loving and gentle with patients and families and brought a profound spirituality to everyone he encountered. As a chaplain, we were together at a number of deaths and his ministry was always appreciated. He will be greatly missed!

Lisa and Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of Dan! He was such a kind person. I remember when Aunt Jean would tell me that Dan would pray for her at the chapel on Pearl Road. My thoughts are with you and the kids at this time.

Dan was a wonderful person. An all around great guy. I am so glad that I had the privilege of working with him, going to lunch and breakfast these past 7 years. I will truly miss him. I am sending my condolences to his family, letting you know that June 14 was a very sad day for all of us.

My deepest condolences to the Montville family. I have had the pleasure of knowing Dan for many years due to grooming his pups. First Marcus, then Dante and Ginger. Not one time did Dan walk out without telling me how much he appreciated me, and how great the dogs look, and how much Lisa will love how they look. He always talked about his family and how much he loved his wife. My heart breaks to know he will never be here to drop the dogs off again. He was such a wonderful person. I'm truly sorry for your loss

I don't think Dan knew what negative was. He was always positive (even on a long winter's night at 0200). You always knew he had your back-you could without fail, count on him.
