Tribute & Message From The Family

Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather

John (Jack) Johns, 79, born on March 11, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease at his residence on May 31, 2020 surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a devoted husband to his wife Kathy of 57 years. Together they had five children, Audrey, Stephan, John, Teresa (George), Joseph (Debbie). He cherished his family more than anything and loved the role of papa to his eight grandchildren; Amber, Jack, Ally, Emily, George, Lizzy, Craig and Payton. He also loved his dog Shrek, who remained by his side and was his protector during his years of Illness.
Though not the greatest golfer you would likely find Jack hitting the links on the weekends with his children. He also enjoyed going to his grandchildren's sporting events, or just hanging out with them by a backyard fire. Jack loved his gambling getaways, beach vacations with his family, and making those around him laugh and smile. He had the best sense of humor and his smile could light up a room. Words cannot express enough what his wife, kids and grandchildren meant to him., and what he meant to them. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and announced on our website. In Memory of Jack donations can be made to Bella Care Hospice, Independence, Ohio. 440-842-7800
