Condolence & Memory Journal

I am so sorry to just learn that Sally passed away in 2018. My condolences to the family. I had the privilege to have her as a school counselor 1980-1982. I remember her encouraging me to be a special education teacher and I replied, "no way". However, I did become an educator in the classroom (but not SPED). She had a special connection with her counseling skills and I am sure has in some form, helped shaped many lives of the students throughout the years. Good Bless her soul.

She was my 9th grade math teacher in '74. I loved her class. She loved her students.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I owe Ms. Bertolo a great debt. She believed in me when many did not. She gave me another opportunity to finish high school in a very non-traditional way when, at the time, options were limited. I graduated and went on to become a Marine, a goal that would not have been achieved had it not been for her. Because of her, my life was forever changed for the better. I have never forgotten what she did for me and I will always have a specific place for her in my heart. You will be sorely missed, Ms Bertolo. ❤

My most sincere sympathy to Sallie's family at this time. We were colleagues at Valley Forge HS for many years. Sally was a gifted counselor and assistant principal. She will be missed. May God comfort everyone who knew her and may she be enveloped in God's loving hands. I will continue to pray for her soul. Thank you for letting us know Sally.

Dearest Sally, my math teacher later to become a colleague and dear friend. She always had an amazing sense of humor and time to listen. Sally was one of the reasons I became a teacher. She made a difference in many lives. Thank you and rest in peace.

My condolences to all who know and love her. What sad news. Sal was a kind, funny lady. Damn, Sam. Sending love.

I'm so sad to hear this. My counselor all 4 years at VF 1983-1986! Great lady! She made sure I applied to as many scholarships and grants as possible and I benefitted. She also joked with me once saying I was the first senior that she ever had that wanted to add a class to their schedule. Much sympathy to her loved ones. May the love and memories you shared bring you comfort at this difficult time.
