Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Veteran

John M. Pintur, 103, of Lorain passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at Safehaven in Avon Lake. He was born October 20, 1915 in Freedom, Pennsylvania.

John was a United States Army veteran serving his country during World War II. He served during the Normandy Invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. He was employed as an electrician and a member of IBEW #129.

Mr. Pintur is survived by his son Jonathon (Linda); daughters Cynthia Reinke (David) and Jennifer Cook (Colin); daughter-in-law Sharon Pintur; grandchildren Thad, Nathan, Julie, Danielle, and Robin; great-grandfather of five.

He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth (nee Gurchik); son Jeffrey Pintur; four brothers and one sister.

A memorial visitation will be 2-4pm Sunday, December 2 at Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second Street, Elyria. www.buschcares.com

I was one of the Eucharist deliverers to John. When I last saw him, he was sitting up on his bed reading the newspaper and just laughing and asking questions. He was so positive! We will miss seeing him.
