Tribute & Message From The Family

Loving Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend

David "Jake" Scott, 60, of North Olmsted, formerly of Sheffield Lake passed away unexpectedly. He was born March 7, 1958 in Buffalo, NY to the late Albert and Rita (nee Skompinski) Scott.
David was an amazing and compassionate person, always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was a graduate of Brookside High School, class of 1976. A dedicated employee at ScrapCom, he enjoyed working as an operations manager for many years. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle; a friend to everyone he met. David was a wine enthusiast, enjoyed bowling, playing poker, and had a passion for traveling, particularly with his best friends, "the five", from high school.
He leaves behind his daughter Kimberly Stewart (Shawn); grandchildren Jaelyn, Aubree and Nathen; siblings Jim Scott (Lois) and Sandi Richards (Barry); nieces and nephews Michael, Jessica, Brittany, Austin and Zachary.
Friends may call from 5-8pm with a memorial service at 7pm Thursday, September 27, 2018 at BUSCH FUNERAL HOMES 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon. www.buschcares.com. 440-937-6175

Condolence & Memory Journal

I will never forget all the fun times we had together going to concerts, Trapped Toledo, and playing cards and Scrabble for hours! Thanks for all the times you helped me study for the Sputum Bowl competitions. I know my team wouldn't have competed as well without your help. I will always love you and miss you. Your family is in my prayers. I know how much you loved your family and how proud you were of Kim.

Rest in Peace Dave. Thinking about the Sundays at Grandma's/pa's and the elderberry wine shots, Christmas eves with the evil looking Santa, and the kids table. Fun times. Why we never dug up Diane's treasure chest in the yard is still a puzzle to me.

My condolences to Kimberly, Sandi, Jim, family, and David friends. Take comfort in your memories of Dave and of the times you had together. Life is too short - reach out to to long separated friends and family.
