Helen M. Zych (nee Molnar), a lifelong resident of Lorain, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018 at The Wesleyan Village in Elyria following a lengthy illness. She was born on January 4,1928.

Mrs. Zych graduated from Lorain High School and attended St. Peter Church. She enjoyed being a homemaker and a mother, and was proud of her Hungarian culture. In 1966, The Lorain Rotary Club chose her winter scene as the cover artwork for their annual Christmas card fund-raiser.

Mrs. Zych is survived by her sons Gary Zych (Anna Filardi) of Atlanta, GA and Jeff Zych (Mary Kay) of Avon Lake); daughters Donna George of Cape Coral FL (grandchild Stephen) and Sharon Kastl of Vermilion (husband Rick and grandchildren Rich and Brooke) and also by her sister Irene Yuhasz of Elyria.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Zych (2015), son Robert N. Zych (2008), sister Elizabeth Abel, brother William Molnar and beloved parents William and Regina (nee Vargo) Molnar and stepfather Michael Olah.

It greatly saddens us to hear about Aunt Helen passing. Although we are unable to be in town this week, we have all of you in our thoughts and prayers. I hope you enjoy the DVDs my Mom (Irene) will be giving you to keep. It contains many wonderful memories of Aunt Helen and Uncle Bob (and many of you. Gary, Bobby, Donna, Sharon, and Jeff).

I will miss my aunt's laughter!! Whenever we visited Ohio we would go to see Aunt Helen and Uncle Bob. We would reminisce old times and they both would laugh so easily. We were lucky to get one of her winter paintings.
She would be pleased with this beautiful picture of her.
