Dearest Bonnie,

We are so saddened by the loss of Dennis. Our hearts and prayers go out to you. A wonderful light has gone out in our firmament, but it's blazing away above! I'm sure Dennis is making his point of view clear to the Powers up there. We would be there if at all possible, and it's painful not to be, but we certainly will be with you in spirit. You and Dennis are a woven into Ken's life so tightly that it's difficult to come to grips with his passing. From your friendship (and feeding him!) in med school to your recent visit with us, you've been truly constant and valued friends. His sunset and wonderful garden photos brightened every visit to Facebook! Please accept our sincerest sympathy and condolences in this most difficult of times.

Dennis,
You were a great friend and the best thing about Navy boot camp. I am happy to have known you for 45 years and spent so much time with you in New Orleans. You were a credit to your wife Bonnie and to all of your patients. Your incredible knowledge and magnificent generosity and charitable outpouring were an inspiration to all. We will miss you! You were loved by all!

Bonnie, my thought and prayers are with you at this most difficult time of the loss of your soul mate!! I was so thankful that I got to spend time with him when he came to Uncle Ed's funeral services in Arlington. That really meant a lot to me that he could be there. I know you have a huge family support to help you through this difficult time to lean on. Wish I could be there as well, please feel all our love and support from Cali!!!

Stella,

I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Cech was a lifesaver for me. Without his knowledge/expertise, I wouldn't have been able to have a normal childhood. My thoughts are with you and your family.

They say that to have a good life you must "Live," "Laugh," "Love" and "Leave a Legacy" and Dennis was not only able to do that but he did it all to the fullest. His legacy is all the people who's lives he touched and helped either through his family, his friendships or his patients. You will be missed!

Condolences to Bonnie and all of Dennis' family - I have so many warm memories of good times shared with both of them, with Dennis often as the instigator. Without him, when would I ever have gone to the Jazz fest, eaten etouffe, or gone to a pig roast? Not to mention countless times just hanging out, listening to music, shooting the breeze. Dennis was committed, loyal and generous to family and friends. I hope that everyone's memories of him may sustain them through the immediate pain, and provide comfort going forward. Love and sympathy to each of you.
